Starting to Look Like a House

We visited the house a couple times this weekend since we're getting so excited to close next month.  On Saturday we just went to see the siding and shutters, and on Sunday we did a full walk through with our SR.  We didn't get to pick our exterior colors but it looks nice and classic.  Our granite was installed in the kitchen as well as our backsplash.  Toilets and sinks were in all of the bathrooms.  Door handles were on the interior doors.  Everything is looking great!  Can't wait to see what we have next week!

Construction Update - Week 12

We received our weekly update from our PM this morning.  Everything is moving along great!  The crew is working on the siding and shutters for our block.  So far we don't have siding on the front of our house, but it's expected to be finished by the end of the week.  The plumber also came through and installed all of the toilets, fixtures, and faucets.  The crew also installed all of our towel bars, toilet paper holders, and the shower curtain rod in the guest bath.  Last but definitely not least, we have electricity!!  I can't wait to get better pictures of everything this weekend with the lights on!

Here's an updated picture of our block from our PM.  We're the house with partial brick and no siding yet.

Tiling is Complete (Update from Week 11)

We went to the house this Saturday to check on the progress.  All of the tiling in the bathrooms was complete, light fixtures were installed, and we had a second coat of paint inside.  They also started installing the siding on the back of the house.  It was really great to start seeing all of our selections come together.  So far we love everything we've chosen.

We Have a Closing Date!

We just received an electronic copy of our settlement letter from NVR!  We will be closing on May 18th.  We're so excited to be so close to getting our new home!

We also received our weekly construction update. It was another busy week! They completed the brick on all of the homes in our row and are starting the siding. They're also working to put the second coat of paint on the walls, ceilings and trim inside our house, and they're installing all the light fixtures inside.  Next week we should get our granite in the kitchen and we might even get electricity!
